Workington didn't win this meeting, Sheffield lost it! Before anyone starts baying for André's blood I'd remind them of last year's KO Cup final when Sean had two dips at exactly the wrong time. It's just one of those things. :(
Hey!, no one can accuse us of being invincible at home any longer, so we are due (at long last) some decent performances from the likes of Edinburgh, Newcastle, Newport, Rye House and the rest. (I'll not hold my breath!).
Hull picked up a lot of points on their travels in the early part of the season by being in the right place at the right time, and tonight's meeting was Workington's pay back (albeit way too late). Racing wise it wasn't a classic with passing being at an uncharacteristic (for Sheffield) premium. James finished our effective topscorer, which just about sums up our night.
And there I was, hoping to bask in the reflected glory of my first published photograph in the Speedway Star! (see page 5, autographs on request).
