Richard Hall continued on his majestic way winning heat one in this double header and Paul Cooper won heat 2 ahead of the useful looking Jack Gledhill. James Cockle tried to pass his team mate on the first lap of heat 3 but fell (again) in the attempt, and Jack Gledhill escaped a fearsome looking tumble after clipping Ben Wilson's rear wheel as they exited turn 2. Jack walked back to the pits put the mangled wreckage of his bike had to be carried back. Michael Mitchell picked up second place by passing Chris Courage on turn 3 of the last lap. James Cockle (guess what?) fell again in heat 5, this time on the first turn I think (is that a clean sweep?) but quickly jumped back on. He's certainly keen! Wins for Richard and Ben extended our lead to ten with Ben and Paul both passing fast starting Wayne Barrett by the end of the first lap in heat 7. The Wildcats responded by putting in Mark Thompson on a Golden Double tac-sub off a 15m handicap in heat 8. Carl Warwick (riding Wayne Barrett's bike) took a wide entry into the first turn on lap 2 and poor Mark was left with nowhere to go, and although he remounted he had no chance of making up lost ground.

Paul Cooper won heat 9 with James Cockle visibly following his lines, and Richard Hall breezed past Wayne Barrett into turn 3 to win heat 10. David Mason's persitancy was rewarded in heat 11 as his tight line out of the final turn allowed him to just pip Paul Cooper for second place behind Ben Wilson. James Cockle must have picked up some good tips following Paul Cooper in his previous ride as he looked much better winning heat 12 from Mark Thompson.

Ben Wilson passed David Mason on the third turn and gave Richard a good run claiming a 5-1 in heat 13, and Wayne Barrett responded to the black and white helmet colour (tactical ride) to pass Paul Cooper on his way to 6 points in heat 14. In the nominated final heat Ben Wilson passed Wayne Barrett on the inside of the 3rd turn with both James Cockle and David Mason following suit and the by now slick conditions meant that's how the race finished with Ben's machine expiring as they crossed the finish line at approaching 10:25pm.
