Sean rode a determined first bend to move under Magnus Zetterstrom and after that pulled into a comfortable lead. Paul moved wide to pass Simon Walker exiting turn two and Kyle joined him at the front before they reached the end of the back straight. Not content with a paid win Kyle did everything he could to get past his partner eventually succeeding wide on the second turn on the last lap. Ricky and Richard took a tapes to flag maximum in heat 3 and André and Kyle did likewise in heat 4 although Kyle inherited the lead when André experienced a hairy moment out by the fence on the apex of turns three and four. While Ricky shot away in heat 5 interest was provided by Magnus who dived under Richard on the third turn. Richard was unimpressed and wasted little time in making his own inside move on the second turn one lap later.

Sean was leading heat 6 by a margin when he became aware that Glenn Cunningham was bearing down on young Ben. Sean elected to help his partner and succeeded, but only just as Glenn nearly pipped them both on the sprint for the line. André won heat 7 with ease but partner Paul Cooper couldn't recover from a poor first turn. Chris Mills looked to have got his set-up sorted and was given the black & white in heat 8. He responded with a blistering start and rode a cracking line to deny the hard pushing Kyle any way past. Richard made a flying start in heat 9 to join Ricky in another maximum win, and Sean and Ben did likewise ahead of Paul Fry in heat 10.

Magnus was given the black & white in heat 11 but had no answer to André's blistering pace while Paul Cooper passed Jamie Smith on the third turn to share the heat 4-4. Ricky & Kyle were strolling to another big win in heat 12 when Ricky dropped it in a nasty looking fall on the 4th bend when his engine seized. Ricky sustained facial injuries and the paramedics had to act quickly when they found he'd swallowed his tongue. Kyle won the restarted heat and both André and Sean passed Magnus on the first lap to win heat 13. Richard passed Paul Fry on the first lap of heat 1 but Fryer kept up the pressure. Chris Mills held a narrow advantage over Paul Cooper but just as Paul Fry looked like getting the better of Richard at the front Paul made his way past Chris almost unseen at the back. Sean trapped to win heat 15 with André rounding Glenn to put the seal on a 35 point victory and taking all 5 points off the Rebels.

Straight after the meeting Graham Trollope had the big blade out on the track so I guess the surface wasn't all it could have been following the weekends stock car meeting. I don't think it was to blame for Ricky's tumble but we will probably never know for sure as Ricky didn't even know what day of the week it was when he arrived at hospital. Fingers crossed for a full and speedy recovery.
