Just before he fell! On a beautiful if breezy afternoon they over watered the track into a quagmire and ruled out any proper racing until it dried out. Then at the interval they kindly watered it all over again just in case the Sheffield lads hadn't quite got the hang of it.

Rob & Kyle looked good for a 5-1 in heat 6 (see snap, left) until Rob threw himself into the 2nd turn fence on the third lap. Lasse and JoshB then stung the Scorpions for a 5-1 ahead of revitalized Josh Auty in heat 7 to put the Tigers 2 ahead. After that and the extra watering it all went downhill for the Tigers. Todd Kurtz was the surprise leader of heat 11 with JoshG passing Tero Aarnio into third place on the second lap which would have levelled the scores, but then Josh Auty (whatever happened to 28 day suspensions?) passed him out of turn 4 on the third lap and then virtually fenced Todd on the first turn. He trailed in last but lucky still to be in one piece. I'm sure that will come back to haunt Mr. Auty one day...

Kyle and JoshG claimed a 5-1 in heat 13 to level the scores but disappointigly JoshB and Rob surrendered without a fight in heat 14. Then both Kyle and JoshG made a hash of the start in heat 15 and were too busy tripping over each other to mount a move against the victorious Scorpions.

Return match on Thursday. Wonder what Graham will do to the track to make it difficult for us this time..?
