Drizzle and light rain fell throughout the meeting and while conditions were far from perfect (Ben Wilson fell on the first bend on the last lap of heat 4 while leading) there was still some good racing as the Tigers battled back into contention.

Paul Cooper set the standad after his slipping clutch pulled him into the tapes in heat 3. Starting from a 15m handicap he passed Darren Andrews on the first lap, team mate Luke Priest on the second, and race leader Ben Powell on the third for a dramatic win. He passed Ben again in heat 5 with a hairy looking dive on the third bend, and Tom Brown waited until the very last bend before snatching third place from David Speight.

Ben Powell attempted an outside pass himself in heat 12 but Paul closed the door in determined style. Karlis Ezergallis completed a busy meeting with another win in heat 14, but early leader Darren Andrews was passed by Luke Priest to leave the Cougars requiring a 5-1 to draw in the last heat. Richard Hall and Paul Cooper were leading when Ben Powell lost his chain causing team mate Tom Brown to fall, and in the rerun Tom's bike expired leaving the Prowlers an easy 5-0.

Far from ideal conditions but interest was maintained by the closeness of the scoreline, quite a novelty for the home fans.
