Nico Covatti  Ben Wilson is rider-replacement in heat 1 and he makes an electric start. Simon Stead off gate four swoops around the field to lead down the back straight and that's how they finish. Ben repeats his start to win heat 2 but Josh Bates cannot make up ground after a poor first turn.Taylor Poole is the clear leader of heat 3 and Leigh Lanham passes Rene Bach on the second turn to make it another 5-1, until Taylor grounds to a halt at the end of the second lap, and then Rene passes Leigh on the second turn of the last lap. Josh Bates leads heat 4 but Nico Covatti swoops past out of turn 2 and then Kyle Howarth follows suit on turn three. Josh Grajczonek gates ahead of Ricky Wells in heat 5 and Taylor Poole rounds Leigh on the second bend. Taylor got alongside Ricky a couple of times but just couldn't get the advantage before losing ground. The Comets have pegged the scores back level at 15-15.

Simon was the clear winner of heat 6 from Kyle Howarth and a slowing Leigh Lanham was passed by Joe Jacobs on the last turn. Ben Wilson make another super start to lead heat 7 from Mason Campton. Nico winds it all on for and outside swoop around bends 3 & 4 on the second lap to go from 3rd to 1st. Brilliant! Taylor and Josh lead heat 8 until Ricky nips through on the inside of Josh at the end of the second lap. Taylor leads heat 9 from Kyle until Leigh gets in on the action with an inside pass on the pits turn. Josh gates to lead heat 10 but has Rene and Mason in close company behind and Simon climbing allover them looking for a way past. With time running out Simon sells a lap worth of inside attempts and then blasts high and wide around Mason into turn three and past Rene on the last turn to follow Josh home as the stadium erupts! Tigers now fourteen points ahead!

Nico traps ahead in heat 11 and holds off a determined challenge from Josh Grajczonek. Joe Jacobs leads heat 12 from Rene who keeps Leigh behind him by keeping it tight on the white line. Leigh astonishes everyone by moving out wide on the third lap and going from 3rd to 1st in three bends! Simon leads heat 13 from Josh G. Nico passes Kyle on the second lap and goes for a non existent gap on the fourth turn and is sucked in by the air fence. Nasty high speed crash but he's soon an his feet and walking back to the pits. Mason leads heat 14 but is passed inside and out by Ben and Taylor on the second bend. Josh G and Kyle lead heat 15. Ben passes Kyle on the inside of the third turn but Kyle fights back and retakes second on the third lap.

Nico possibly had something wrong with the bike after his crash, or was on his cold spare and ran a poor fourth in heat 15 but the raffle winner still voted him a worthy "Man of the Match"
