2007 ProgrammeRicky leads heat 1 from Mattia Carpanese until Joel passes him on the second lap. James Wright followed him past and was set to swoop around Joel on the fourth turn when Joel picked up drive and they collided with James clearing the fence! Graham Flint ruled Joel the guilty party and awarded the race. Paul and Birko trapped to lead heat 2 with Charles Wright retiring on the third lap. Craig Branney held George Stancl out to win heat 3 and Kenneth Hansen slipped past James Cockle on the third lap to narrow the gap. Kauko Nieminen breezed heat 4 but Birko had his work cut out to hold off hard challenging Jamie Robertson. Hansen and Branney gated to win heat 5 with Ricky pushing but failing to get past. Comets lead by 4 points.

All four back after Paul anticipated the start in heat 6. Jamie Robertson got a flyer in the restart. George led from the tapes in heat 7 from Kauko and James Cockle was third ahead of Charles Wright. Good racing as both Comets tried to get past but the Tigers hold their places. Mattia trapped and was gone in heat 8. Jamie passed Joel Parsons on the last bend of lap 2 to claim a maximum heat win. Ben Wilson made his first good start and won heat 9 while everyone was watching Paul and Mattia battling for third place. Mattia came good with an inside pass on turn three on the last lap. Mattia fell at the back at the start of the second lap, causing heat 10 to be rerun. George made no mistake second time around, and Charles (on one of brother James' bikes) passed James Cockle on the back straight. James then picked up a puncture and trundled around for the odd point. Comets still lead by 4 points.

Jamie Robertson replaces Charles Wright in heat 11 but he breaks the tapes and picks up a 15m handicap. Kauko traps & Jamie can't make up the lost ground. Kenneth Hansen leads George in heat 12 while Charles Wright is again on his brothers machine and passes Paul on the third bend. Jamie Robertson takes James Wrights's place in heat 13. Kauko traps and Ricky passes Jamie on the last bend of the first lap. Charles is ruled out of heat 14 for exceeding the time allowance. Jamie Robertson in for his seventh ride passes James Cockle at the end of the first lap, but the heat is shared as Craig runs last. Sheffield win the toss and choose gates 1 & 3 but it Kauko who leads the way from George and Ricky with Kenneth Hansen dropping a chain on the first lap.
