2010 Stoke programme Ricky Ashworth and Hugh Skidmore trapped ahead and were never troubled on their way to an opening heat 5-1. Jason Bunyan retired on the first lap and withdrew from the meeting with a recurring knee injury. Taylor Poole led heat 2 from Paul Cooper with James Holder passing Arlo Bugeja on the second turn. James got it all wrong on the third turn and tumbled into the fence. It's the Tigers who gate in the rerun and Paul slots in behind Arlo and stymies Taylor's run out of turn two. Taylor is climbing all over Paul for three laps, nearly rounds him on the outside of the pits turn and then nails him on the inside of turn two on the last lap. Good racing! Hynek Stichauer shows first in heat 3 but Richard Hall and Josh Auty appear to have the legs to beat Klaus Jakobsen and share the heat, until Richard throws it away on the third turn, last lap and Josh who was right on his tail is distracted and follows him down. Josh eventually restarts his bike and claims the odd point. Josef Franc pulls alongside Taylor out of turn two in heat 4, holds his line despite Taylor's close attentions and eases away on the second lap for a good win. Hynek and Klaus show first in heat 5, Hugh bounces off his skipper on the second turn and the race is over. The Tigers were six points ahead after two races but now trail by two.

Taylor replaces Jason in heat 6 and traps ahead. Josef passes Michal Rajkowski on the second lap and follows Paul home for a shared heat. James leads heat 7 with Richard second and Ricky Wells third. Richard is riding wider and wider each lap and Ricky keeps it tight to the white line on the last lap and wins the sprint to the finishing line. Paul gated ahead in heat 8 but Michal rounds him on the pits turn on the first lap. Taylor dives through hard on the inside at the start of lap two and Paul slides out to the fence. He's back up straight away but has a problem with the bike and can only cruise around at the back as an insurance. Hugh goes for glory at the start of the last lap diving through on the inside and deposits Taylor into the fence and Graham Flint discludes him. Hynek and Klaus trap and heat 9 goes the same way as the two previous heats. Michal leads heat 10 and Josh gets the better of Richard down the back straight to go second. He closes in on the leader, pulls alongside out of turn four and completes the pass on the first turn of the third lap. The Tigers now trail by twelve points.

The Tigers skipper is on a tactical in heat 11 and makes a blinding start. Graham Flint adjudges him to have been moving at the start and it's all four back. Ricky A obliges us with another blinding start and has Hugh in attendance, albeit fleetingly as the young Aussie is mugged by both Ricky W and Taylor on the second turn. Richard and Paul speed away to lead heat 12. Hynek is climbing all over Paul but over does it at the start of the third lap and loses ground. Josef and Ricky A speed away to lead heat 13 with the Tigers skipper happy to follow his team mate home and narrow the deficit to a single point. Malcolm Vasey switches his reserves putting Taylor into heat 13 and Eric Boocock responds by swapping Arlo for Paul. Taylor traps ahead and Klaus contents himself with holding up Josh which he achieves. The Potters victory (virtually) assured heat 15 becomes a fight for the third match point with the Potters needing a heat advantage to steal it. It's nip and tuck from the gate with Ricky and Hynek in close company down the back straight. Josef tries to round Klaus on the third turn but drops it and slides into the fence. Hynek rounds Ricky at the end of the second lap but Ricky comes back at him on the second bend and holds the lead to the flag to claim a consolation point for the Tigers.
