Dear Supporters
The above support group has been formed to offer our riders financial support, an opportunity for all supporters to become 'Sponsors' of our team. A bank account has been set up in the name of STARS and members of the group donate a minimum of £5.00 per month, preferably on a standing order basis.
During 2007 we backed Paul Cooper and James Cockle with regular payments and part-funded an engine for Joel Parsons. Just under £3,000 was paid out during the course of the season bringing the grand total to £29,920.
We intend using the entire balance as a 'hardship fund' in 2008 and picking up the bills for machine repairs as and when they occur. Our first cheque will buy a carburetor for Joel's new bike to help set him up for the start of the season.

... during the closed season. The next meeting will be on the third Thursday in February which is the 21st. Everyone is welcome to come along and spend the evening with us, there is normally a free buffet as well!
We were joined at our January meeting by André, Ricky, Ben, Joel and Paul who were all signing their contracts, along with new team manager Eric Boocock, and co-promoter David Hoggart. David kindly brought us up-to-date with pre-season planning but we are all on 'pain of death' not to broadcast any of it on the internet!
