2010 Programme Magnus won the toss and chose the inside gates. David Howe rounded Hugh Skidmore on the second turn and quickly opened up a comfortable lead. His winning time was the fastest this year, more than a second faster than Tai Woffinden in the Belle Vue challenge. The Tigers reserves trap ahead in heat 2 but Jerran Hart goes around Arlo Bugeja on the second turn. He gets close to Paul Cooper but there is no way past. Richard Hall rounds the field to lead heat 3 from Joel Parsons but Josh Auty cannot join him. Paul makes an electric start to heat 4 and even Magnus Karlsson has no answer. Richard looked to have heat 5 sewn up but he was caught on the finish line by David. Josh once again cannot make a pass as he follows Viktor Bergstrom home. Tigers lead by four points.

Magnus resisted Ricky's first bend challenge and went on to win heat 6 while Hugh held off Jerran by keeping his lines neat and tidy. Josef Franc led heat 7 but Joel Parsons was on his exhaust every inch of the way. Paul made the start again in heat 8 but Hugh rounded him to take the lead out of turn 2. Viktor stole a point from Simon Lambert right on the finish line. Magnus took the lead in heat 9 but Josh and Richard were riding against each other for two laps before Josh pulled ahead. He then caught Magnus but it was too late to mount a challenge. Ricky and Hugh rode to an untroubled 5-1 in heat 10 leaving the Tigers twelve points ahead.

David is on a tactical in heat 11 and speeds into an early lead. Jerran rounds Josef on the third turn to set the Scorpions up for an 8-1 and Josef goes too wide at the start of the second lap and loses even more ground. Richard takes his first Owlerton win of the year in heat 12 while Paul has his work cut out containing Joel but succeeds. Ricky and Josef trap ahead in heat 13 and it's looking good for the Tigers. David takes two laps before sweeping around Josef on the pits turn and then powers under Ricky on the next lap to tie the heat. Carl Wilkinson nudges Paul wide on the first turn of heat 14, who in turn nudges Jerran who falls on the second turn. I'd have ruled first bend bunching and asked for all four back but Michael Breckon axes Jerran! It's nip and tuck between Carl and Paul in the rerun and they are side by side as they enter the third turn. Carl ends up on his behind and Michael disqualifies Paul who is totally perplexed. Carl pushes Josh for a couple of laps in the re-rerun but then has engine problems and trundles around for the two gift points. Eric predictably nominates the Tigers top two scorers while Richard Hollingsworth doesn't even have to use a single brain cell as only two Scorpions have managed to win a race. Richard Hall starts from gate four but finds himself blocked by Paul allowing the Scorpions to romp to a 5-1 and steal a match point.
