The Tigers race to a commanding 8 point lead after four heats but then allow things to slide. It goes down to a last heat decider with the Tigers two points ahead. Richard Hall is on the outside gate and is fully expected to blast around the entire field. The Captain is having none of that though and runs him so wide on the first turn that Richard has to bale out. All is not lost though as Ricky takes the lead on the third bend but the visiting supporters cannot believe their eyes when his primary chain breaks on the second lap and spits him into the fence!!!
