2012 Programme  Josef Franc sped into the lead in heat 1 but Hugh Skidmore trailed the field and barely troubled Ulrich Ostergaard for third place. Klaus Jakobsen passed Mark Jones exiting turn two to lead heat 2, but Joe Haines was passed by Max Dilger on the second lap and didn't contest the place. Justin Sedgmen led heat 3 and Richard Hall took a painful tumble when his chain snapped on the pits turn. Max Dilger led heat 4 and Klaus was gifted a point when Aaron Summers retired from third place on the third lap. Ulrich won heat 5 ahead of Richard and Ricky but the fans are wondering if we will see any racing tonight? Tigers trail by two points.

Pepe and Hugh trap ahead in heat 6 and Sheffield take the lead for the first time in 2012! Matej Kus leads heat 7 but has Emiliano Sanchez and Justin Sedgmen all over him. That's how it finished with no actual passes but at least it was close. Carl Wilkinson wins heat 8. No further comment. Mark Jones leads heat 9 but Richard Hall scythes past him on the pits turn on the second lap. Ricky Wells was right on his exhaust and saw how to pass, but chose against it. Justin won heat 10. Bears have won six of the ten heats so far but trail the Tigers by two points.

Emiliano leads heat 11 and Carl falls on the second turn, quickly clearing the track. Ulrich winds it on around the outside to pass Emiliano on the second lap but then suffers engine failure on the back straight! Joe traps ahead in heat 12 and leads from Ricky, but Justin swoops around the Kiwi/American on the pits turn and straight under Joe on the first bend to take the lead. Josef leads heat 13 from Aaron and Emiliano passes Ulrich at the end of the first lap to go third. Ulrich redeems himself by reclaiming the point at the end of the third lap. At least we're seeing some passing! Richard leads heat 14 from Matej and Klaus looks comfortable in third until the last lap when Max t-boned him. Klaus careered into the fence and cart wheeled halfway down the back straight. He is able to walk from the track, albeit nursing an injured arm and shoulder. Ulrich traps to lead heat 15 and Richard tries all he can but cannot gain the advantage.

This is a meeting which the Bears lost rather than the Tigers won with falls and engine problems proving very costly. Berwick next week and I'm wondering who will be able to live with Ricky Ashworth and Lee Complin?
