It's tight from the start in heat 3 and Leigh's front wheel catches Taylor's rear on the second bend. Both tumble off collecting Rasmus in the melee. Leigh has a hand injury but Taylor has a broken femur! Rasmus takes his place in the rerun but coasts home in pain and also withdraws from the meeting. Josh takes a fall in heat 7 to add to the delays.
After two more three man heats and with the clock ticking away Simon and Ben trap ahead in heat 10. Simon doesn't take the captains role and leaves Ben to fend off James Wright on his own, but Ben is up to the task and puts the Tigers ahead just as the curfew brings proceedings to a close.
