Ex-Panther Simon Stead scored his first maximum of the season but struggled to find support. Jason Garrity, Dmitri Berge and Kyle Howarth registered one win each but the Tigers fortunes were decided by finishing last, or failing to finish in no fewer than 11 heats.
Dmitri and Simon took a maximum in heat 1 and it wasn't until heat 9 that the Panthers clawed their way into the lead. Ulrich and Emil roared to a maximum win in heat 10 but with Simon
winning three of the last five heats, he alone stopped an even bigger landslide.
Peterborough's failed attempts to sign Craig Cook probably went against Sheffield as Simon Lambert would not have scored double figures from the body of the team and our reserves would
have probably have done better. The next few weeks could answer that question now the decision has been reversed.
