Newcastle programme

Andre and Simon were untroubled in heat 1 and after Arthur swooped high and wide from 3rd to lead heat 2 followed by Josh it was a perfect start for the Tigers. The Tigers pair also led heat 3 but Anton Rosen was all over them and eventually picked off Ty on the last lap. Ludvig Lindgren and Lewis Rose trapped to lead heat 4 but Arthur was chasing hard until he took the wrong line at the start of the third lap. That let David into contention and although he quickly caught the Diamonds pair he just didn't have time to put together a pass. Steve Worrall led heat 5 with Ty on his tail and Ashley just holding off Christian Henry. Ty spent three and a half laps sniffing for an outside pass before storming under Steve on the last two bends. Tigers looking very comfortable on an eight point lead.

Simon led heat 6 which became another 5-1 when Ludvig expired at the start of the second lap. David stormed into the lead in heat 7 while Josh rounded Lewis Kerr on the pits turn on the first lap. Lewis gave chase but couldn't gain any advantage. Andre rounded the field to lead heat 8. Christian Henry rounded Arthur at the start of the second lap and then just managed to keep his young fellow countryman at bay. Ashley led heat 9 and Ty passed Ludvig Lindgren into turn three just as Ashley ground to a halt right in front of him. How there wasn't a four man crash I don't know but Ludvig came out of it best. Simon looked well beaten until Ty's bike also expired on the last lap and Simon pipped him to the flag. Our PLRC champions pairing rode untroubled to another maximum heat win in heat 10 and the Tigers fans looking smugly at the eighteen point lead.

Steve Worrall is in the black & white helmet and he traps alongside his partner to lead heat 11. David squeezes between the pair on the second lap but just can't get the better of Steve. Lewis Kerr manages to contain Ashley to win heat 12 and in a separate race Simon Neilsen does likewise ahead of Arthur. Simon speeds away to win heat 13 but everyone is watching David chasing down the Diamonds top pair. On the third lap he swoops around Steve Worrall before switching to the inside to pass Ludvig Lindgren off the pits turn and the stadium erupts. Ty and Josh gate ahead in heat 14 but Anton Rosen in on their case. He passes Josh on the inside at the end of the second lap and was getting very close to Ty when the flag came down. Heat 15 was a carbon copy of heat 13 on paper. Simon trapped and once again David had it all to do. This time he passed  Steve on the inside on the first lap before setting off after Ludvig who he dived past at the start of the fourth lap. Fantastic racing.

The score line does the Diamonds no justice as there was some fantastic cut and thrust racing. David will soon become a firm favourite with the home fans if he continues to thrill us with fantastic racing as he has tonight.
