2008 Programme  Ricky Ashworth anticipated the start of heat 1 causing Peter Clarke to bring them all back to the tapes. Ricky was first away again in the rerun and he cut across the field into turn one causing the other three to bunch up with Joel Parsons coming off the worst. Joel managed to pass Chris Schramm exiting turn two but couldn't find a way past Michal Rajkowski. Paul Cooper made light of his injured ribs to win heat 2 but Kyle Hughes missed the start completely and retired from fourth place on the last lap. André Compton passed Theo Pijper to lead exiting turn two in heat 3 and Lee Smethills took third place when Michal drifted too wide on the last lap. Paul made another good start to lead heat 4 with Ben Wilson passing him out of turn two. Jan Graversen just couldn't get around the fourth turn and he retired from the back of the field. Chris was challenging André at the start of heat 5 when the Sheffield skipper picked up drive and skittled Chris into the fence on the second turn. After a brief delay while he straightened his bike out Chris bounced back to win the rerun ahead of Lee who passed Michal on the second turn. Sheffield lead by six points.

Ricky and Joel take an untroubled 5-1 in heat 6. Ben Wilson is the first to show in heat 7 with Kyle in second. Theo dives past to take second place on the third turn but Kyle rides a nice steady line to stay ahead of Jan. Paul and Joel clean up in heat 8 with Michal failing to recover ground after a very wide first turn. André and Lee team ride to a 5-1 ahead of Jan in heat 9 with Mark Baseby taking a very heavy fall from last place on the final turn which earned him an ambulance ride for a check-up at the Northern General Hospital. Ricky and Joel show a clean pair of heels to Theo in heat 10 claiming another 5-1 leaving the home Tigers now twenty four points ahead.

Chris is wearing the black & white in heat 11 but it's Ben who leads from the tapes. Kyle rounds Michal out of turn two and takes another good point. André traps ahead in heat 12 and Theo gets the better of Paul to spoil his maximum. Ricky and Ben do the business again in heat 13 ahead of Chris. Lee gets the drop to lead heat 14 with Kyle chasing hard after Theo. The dutchman goes too wide on the pits turn on the third lap and Kyle is perfectly placed to steal second place. Ben leads heat 15 with Chris climbing all over Ricky in second. Ricky passes his team mate on the second lap and Ben does enough to hold off Chris as the South Yorkshire Tigers finish with three maximum heat wins.
