2007 ProgarammeThe Fen Tigers sped into an early lead in heat 1, but both Joel and Ricky passed Mario Jirout to share the heat. The Fen Tigers reserves were equally impressive from the gate in heat 2 but Paul Cooper failed to make any impression and Birko retired at the end of the second lap. 'All four back' was the verdict after Kyle Legault and James Cockle tumbled at the start of heat 3. André trapped in the rerun from Kyle and James with Jamie Smith falling on the third turn. He hopped back on but soon threw in the towel. Joel took the reserve replacement ride for Ben in heat 4 and races to a convincing win. Tom P. Madsen passed Birko on the first lap and just holds him off to finish second. Joel takes Ricky off on the first turn in heat 5 but again the ref says 'all four back'. Ricky leads the restart in a blizzard but as Joel tries to pass Kyle on the third turn he performs a 360° and Jamie Smith can't avoid him. At the third attempt Ricky passes Kyle on turn three and then pulls clear for the win which leaves the scores level after five heats.

Ricky is Ben's replacement in heat 6 and leads comfortably until he inexplicably falls! André and James Cockle lead heat 7 but the Fen Tigers pick off James when he goes too wide on the second turn. Shaun Tacey leads heat 8 but Joel closes him down and pulls off a sweet pass on the second lap. All manner of mayhem in the pits sees No.8 Ben Hopwood at the tapes in heat 9. Kyle rears and falls on the second turn leaving an easy win for Jamie but another shared heat. André and James make another fine start to heat 10 but Mario Jirout moves up into second place at the end of the first lap. James hangs on for all he's worth to stay ahead of Shaun. Scores are level once again.

Jason King traps to lead heat 11 and neither Ricky or Joel can do anything about it. André leads heat 12 from Kyle and Paul pushes Thommo but can't get the better of him. Birko blasts into the lead in heat 13 but goes too wide and falls heavily on the second turn. Ricky wins the rerun at a canter. The deadlock is broken as Jamie and Jason take a convincing 5-1 in heat 14 ahead of our two James' setting up a last heat decider. Shaun Tacey and Jason King get the nod for the home team and line up against Ricky and André, but it's the visiting Tigers who fly from the starting gate and take an emphatic 5-1 to force the draw.

A good win for the Tigers missing Ben Wilson (riding for the England U21 team against the Danes at Oxford). His rider replacements only accounted for 4+1 so it's safe to assume we would have won if he'd been able to take his place in the team.
