James best Owlerton showing, thanks to Henning Loof Ty Proctor and Todd trap to lead heat 1. Rory Schlein gets filled in on the first bend and retires on the last lap. Connor Mountain leads from Jack Smith in heat 2. Connor slows wide on the first bend on lap 2 and Jack lays down to avoid him leaving Georgie with a win and James a comfortable second. Cameron Heeps leads heat three with Lasse in close attendance which gets too close entering turn 1 on the second lap when Lasse clips Cameron's read wheel causing them both to fall heavily. Lasse is excluded and he and Cameron are both ruled out of the remainder of the meeting. Nico wins the rerun (45 minutes later) with Broc pushing him in second. Charles leads heat 4 with Scott Nicholls falling on the third bend. James outpaces Jack for another 5-1. Broc Nichol takes a heavy fall into the fence on turn 2 at the start of heat 5. Injured rider replacement Todd Kurtz is sandwiched by Rory and Nico at the start of the rerun but re-groups, goes wide, and passes the pair of them down the back straight. Ten points ahead but at what cost?

Ty leads from Scott in heat 6 but Scott powers around him into the third turn. Todd passes Jack on the second lap to share the heat. Nico from gate 3 rounds the field to lead down the back straight in heat 7. Georgie and Connor have a good scrap and Georgie takes the point. Todd is the comfortable winner of heat 8 and after a good scrap with Jonas Jeppesen James makes it another 5-1. Scott Nicholls wins heat 9 from Charles and Connor takes the point after limping wounded Broc has to retire. Nico wins heat 10 despite laying down an impressive smoke screen but Ty and Todd tie the heat.

Rory trapped and went for the wide line to outpace Charles in heat 11. Georgie spat the dummy on the last lap. Connor trapped i heat 12 and rode a neat and tidy line to keep a pedestrian James back in second. Georgie held third until the last bend when Jonas trumped him. Ty trapped to win heat 13 and was barely troubled by Scott. All eyes though were on the terrific scrap for third place which was taken by Charles from Rory on the last lap. Nico leads away in heat 14 and it looks like we're set for a shared heat, but James dives through into the lead at the start of the third lap, only for Georgie to surrender to Connor seconds later. It's very tight on the first bend of heat 15 with Todd the meat in a Witches sandwich, but he keeps the throttle open and a big cheer goes up as he and Ty pass either side of Scott into turn 3.

Paid 16 from Todd and paid 14 from James just when it was most needed, but anxious thoughts re- Broc's fitness.
