New signing Kenny McKinna was not available and the Witches were given a rider replacement facility, so
when Italian Paulo Salvatelli also failed to return his place had to be taken by junior Mark Jolly.
With heat times 5 or 6 seconds slower than the track record it is fair to assume that track conditions were less
than ideal, and may explain why both Armando Castagna and Neil Collins were early fallers. The Tigers obviously
adapted to the conditions more quickly winning 10 of the heats and extending a 16 point margin, the same as the Owlerton
fixture back in May.
