Ty Proctor was called back after making a flying start in heat 4, and then retired from
heat 6 suffering with the thigh he hurt on Thursday and subsequently withdrew from the
meeting. Heat 12 was stopped because of a red light showing on the first bend, but
Leigh Lanham took a heavy tumble into the fence on the back straight and a trip to hospital
for x-rays of his back. (Severe bruising but thankfully no broken bones!)
Simon Stead and Andre Compton did their best to chase for a consolation point accumulating
all 5 of the Tigers victories and significantly more than half the Tigers total score between
them. Ben Wilson will need a little time to get back on the pace and Taylor Poole was the only
other Tiger to trouble the home team.
Peterborough on Thursday will be a stern test even if all our injured riders are
recovered in time.
Fingers crossed...
