After a humiliating defeat at bRough park the Tigers needed to beat the Monarchs to stand any chance of squeezing
into the play-offs. The Monarchs were riding high at the top of the league but
had a somewhat chequered history at Owlerton so it wasn't an unreasonable expectation.
Simon put his away form behind him and aside from a machine failure he was only headed by Sam Masters in heat
15. Dmitri's paid 9 was above his average, as was Kyle's paid 10, and Jason only missed out on his maximum by the
same Sam Masters last heat win.
Arthur's four points were disappointing; Josh top scored at bRough Park but only managed a meagre three points at home,
and Nathan followed his paid 6 away score by failing to open his account when most needed.
