Pre-meeting rain delayed the start and made conditions very greasy. William Lawson won heat 1 from Ricky Ashworth but Joel Parsons made a hash of the second turn allowing Conference guest Adam McKinna through for third place. Andrew Tully took heat 2 from the gate despite some hairy moments on the second turn, and Aaron Summers passed the Tigers reserves to claim a 5-1. Derek Sneddon won heat 3 in a cautious time with André Compton just holding out Matthew Wethers. Ben Wilson and Lee Smethills gated ahead in heat 4 but Ryan Fisher went between then on the second turn to snatch the lead. Aaron nearly caught Lee on the run to the finish line but it finished as a shared heat. Derek took Ricky out on the first turn in heat 5 and was lucky to be in the restart. The Monarchs trapped ahead but Joel picked them off on the back straight to take the lead. Ricky passed Derek and was hot on Matthew's tail when Joel dropped it on the tricky second bend allowing Ricky into the lead. One third point in the match and the Monarchs lead stands at eight points.

Ben made a cracking start in heat 6 to lead from William with Kyle a comfortable third. William picked off Ben on the second lap after which Ben lost interest and gifted second place to Kyle on the finish line. André made a flying start to lead heat 7 but Ryan lost it on turn 2 taking Paul Cooper through the fence in the process. André made another fast start to lead the re-run but again got into trouble on the second turn allowing Andrew and Paul past. Andrew dropped a chain causing Paul to go wide to avoid him ending up in the fence and picking up an exclusion for his pains! Despite a delay while the fence is repaired Andrew fails to beat the two minute allowance so it is a two man race between André and Aaron. Joel traps ahead in heat 8 but Andrew passes Adam on the second lap and then blasts into the lead on the outside on the second turn on the last lap. The Monarchs are untroubled by Ben on their way to another maximum win in heat 9. André is in black and white for heat 10 but William traps ahead and blocks the outside line allowing Andrew to slip up the inside and into second place. André soon regains second but is under pressure all the way until he once again is caught out by the second bend. The Monarchs now lead by 17 points.

Joel and Ricky jet away and are set for a maximum until Ryan dives hard under Ricky on the third turn of the third lap sending Ricky into the fence. Derek traps ahead in heat 12 but André passes him out of turn two while both Andrew and Kyle hit the deck and jump back on. Derek then goes into turn three too hot and has another go at the fence. Its André all the way in the rerun. Ricky has been advised to withdraw from the meeting and with our reserves struggling Eric puts Joel out as a tactical substitute. William and Ryan stitch up Ben on the first turn and it takes Joel three laps to catch his team-mate. Heat 14 is a 5-1 to the Monarchs and it's just like stealing sweets from a baby. Matthew and William are John Campbell's nominations while Eric goes with André and Joel. André is the first to show but he and William trade places for two laps before William eeked out a slender lead. That is Matthew's signal and he then turns the pressure up swooping around André out of turn two on the last lap.

The Tigers collapsed in the last three heats which makes the scoreline look worse but track conditions were far from ideal with riders from both teams struggling especially with the second turn.
