Silver Sash Match Race | |
---|---|
Doug Templeton (Holder) | 2nd |
Guy Allott (Tigers top-scorer) | 1ST |
72.8 |
The Tigers got back to winning ways after suffering a home defeat in a last heat decider against Plymouth and then an 18-60 trouncing at Dudley Wood at the weekend. Tony Robinson returned to the saddle following injury and Col Smith lost his place to Derrol 'Spider' Melbin at reserve.
Guy Allott made no mistake in the Silver Sash match race to wrest the award from the previous holder Doug Templeton, although Doug made amends by winning the Scratch race final, and Col Smith started his fight back into the team by winning the junior final from Phil Hattersley and Alan Jay.
