2007 Programme The Tigers lost both André and James Cockle after a heat 5 crash. Henning Bager had gated ahead and was trying to block André passing him on the back straight taking his front wheel away and spilling André down the track. James couldn't avoid him and piled into him with the pair of them taking no further part in the meeting with shoulder and leg injuries between them. Already without Birko the Tigers were now down to 4 men plus no.8 Ben Hopwood and were forced to track just one rider in three races as they juggled with Paul Cooper's remaining rides. But what rides they were, beaten just once by Jason Lyons in heat 12, and featuring in two of the best races seen all season. While Joel won heat 11 Paul soaked up everything that Hauzinger and Bager threw at him to claim second place, and then in heat 14 (his seventh ride) after Powell and Moller had gated ahead Paul and Joel left them standing with a synchronized fourth bend inside and outside pass after which they just managed to hold them off to the finish line. Ben Powell well worth a mention for his double figure display for the Brummies.
