Birmingham programme Track Condition – Good, considering the warm weather.
Crowd – Excellent (well done to the Brummies on the half price promotion)
Weather – sunny and warm.

After 3 tremendous results in the last 3 days, the Tigers went to Perry Barr in good spirit and hope of getting the draw required to put them into the semis of the Premier Trophy. Coops wins the toss and takes gates 2 and 4 ?? Even break from the gate in heat 1 and Ash gets his front wheel taken by Jason Lyons in a tough first corner and takes a heavy fall and receives treatment for sometime. He decides to take his place in the rerun, although on his second bike. Brummies make the gate and an easy 5-1, Ash pulls up on lap 3 and then withdraws from the meeting on medical advice with wrist/hand injuries. Huge blow to the Tigers with Pepe not riding as well. The reserves race sees Coops make the gate and win, Arlo is second into the first turn but ends up at the back. Heat 3 saw a close first lap between Josh and Sweetman which is ended when Sweetman wipes out Josh on turn 4 in a nasty incident. Luckily both riders are able to walk away. Sedgmen makes the gate in the rerun and Josh is left far behind, but another great ride sees him first pass Skiddy then the Brummie with ease.... great stuff!!!! Coops makes the gate in Heat 4, but is passed by everyone, Hally into 2nd at the end of the third lap. Arlo in for Ash in heat 5 and the Brummies take an easy 5-1.

Brummies make the gate again in heat 6 and take another 5-1. Tigers put Josh in for a tactical in heat 7 and Coops makes the gate but suffers an engine failure! Great race between Josh and Johno which Josh eventually wins to take the 6 points. Skiddy flies from the start in heat 8 but is passed by Summers at the end of the first lap. Coops makes plenty of effort to pass Newman but misses out. Hally gates in heat 9 but is picked off by both Brummies for another 5-1. Brummies are jet propelled from the gate in heat 10, Josh chases down Summers and passes him on the back straight on lap 4 but Lyons is too far ahead to catch.

Skiddy takes a tactical in heat 11 and Tigers make the gate but Johno has a good ride to pass both Tigers during the race. Heat 12 sees another dreadful gate from Josh but another tremendous race see him pass the other 3 riders. Arlo takes his fifth last place of the meeting. Tigers gate in heat 13 but are quickly picked off by the powerful duo of Lyons and Johnston. Heat 14 sees Josh make the gate and off into the distance he goes. Coops had made the gate again but fell back during the race. If it was all about gating, Coops would have had 18 points today. Brummies make the gate in heat 15 and that's that. Josh passes Skiddy on the final corner to give him a magnificent 18 point haul after a fabulous display from him. Considering the Tigers were with Pepe Franc before the meeting and lost Ricky in the first race, they put up quite a creditable score. Get well soon to Ricky after picking up his wrist/hand injury, let's hope he's ok for Thursday.

Got to say well done to the Brummies on their promotion for this meeting and reduced admission rate for what was essentially a dead meeting for them. There must have been 3 times as many people in Perry Barr tonight compared to the KOC meeting earlier in the season.

Thanks to Chris for the match report.

Ricky reports no serious damage to his wrist but will have a last minute fitness check before Thursdays League return against the Brummies.
