Piotr Pawlicki and Viktor Lampert were both missing for the Polish Championship meeting. (So much for Thursday nights being for
the Premiership!). Steve Worrall flew from gate 1 to lead from Jack while behind them Jason rode fast and tight to keep Tom Brennan
at the back. Jason is fast from the tapes and wins heat 2 from Leon Flint and Dan. Chris Holder off gate 4 rounds the field to lead on
the first bend of heat 3. Kyle doesn't even make the first bend before he's closed down between Zach Cook and Justin Sedgmen
and takes a tumble. Ref says "all 4 back" and Chris repeats his flyer but Kyle still struggles from gate 2 and never gets back
into contention. Chris' time is the first under a minute this year. Tai is off gate 4 in heat 4 and passes Tom wide into turn 3.
Chris makes another great start to lead heat 5 from
Justin while Kyle looks better and keeps Steve at bay. Tigers lead by 4 points both on the night and on aggregate.
Kyle is r/r in heat 6 and goes high and wide to pass Tom into the lead on turn 3. Jack is close behind in third place but never looks
like attempting to pass. Tai makes the start to win heat 7. Dan passes Zach on the outside of the pits turn on the second lap, but
Zach regains the place on the next bend and Justin follows suit at the end of lap 3. Steve Worrall flies from gate 4 to lead heat
8 from r/r Chris but Dan goes well to take third place ahead of Leon. Chris is out again in heat 9 and becomes the first rider to win
from gate 3. Kyle battles past Simon Lambert on the second lap and Tom Brennan trails home last again. Jack becomes the second winner
from gate 3 with Zach second and Jason third. After 10 heats the Tigers have extended their lead to 12.
Zach's out again as r/r in heat 11 and he out gates Tai and Steve passes Tai wide out of turn 2. Tai is all over Steve for 2 laps and then
goes wider at the start of lap three and dives past Steve into turn 3. He follows Zach on the inside of turns 1 & 2 and then gambles
all on the outside around three. Unbelievably he pulls a wheelie but bravely keeps the power on and passes Zach within inches of the
chequered flag. Brilliant speedway from the three times world champion! Steve is the tactical substitute and rejoins Zach in heat 12.
Chris makes a great gate and wins from gate 2. Steve is out again as rider replacement in heat 13 for his third consecutive race. Jack
and Tai are electric from the gate but Jack goes high and wide looking every inch a future world champion as the Tigers take another
5-1. It wasn't really a surprise when it was announced that he'd just lowered Ricky Ashworth's thirteen and a half year-old lap record!
Kyle made another storming start to win heat 14 from the outside gate with Justin and Leon out pacing Jason. With the bonus point
secure and Tai on a maximum Simon gave Kyle a nomination alongside Jack for heat 15. Jack galloped home over a second slower than his
last ride with Steve second and Kyle third.
Analysis of starting gate positions:
Gate 1 - 31(+4)pts 5 wins. Gate 2 - 13(+1)pts 3 wins. Gate 3 - 19(+4)pts 2 wins. Gate 4 - 27(+1)pts 5 wins.
