Danny's first maximum Track conditions were much improved and racing improved as the meeting progressed. Ulrich Ostergård trapped and Danny King off gate 4 just failed to get around him exiting the second turn. Danny kept up the pressure and eagerly snatched the lead when Ulrich made a slight mistake on the third lap. Danyon Hume off the inside gate took the lead in heat 2. Zaine caught him on the back straight but elected to follow his partner despite the closely following ex-Tigers Paco Castagna and James Shanes. Danyon rode a perfect line and eased clear at the front while Zaine controlled a wheelie exiting turn 2 on the second lap. Ty lifted on the run to the first turn in heat 3 and found himself trailing the field. Drew had a moment on the second turn lap 2 allowing Ashley Morris into second, another wayward second turn on lap 3 lets Ty into third place and eventually a heavy fall on the last lap. After receiving attention he was able to hobble slowly back to the pits. James Shanes made the start in heat 4. Zaine picks off Kyle Newman on the back straight and Kyle Howarth kept the pressure on at the back and was rewarded with an inside pass at the start of the last lap. Ty eventually made a good start in heat 5 although Drew trailed home last behind Ulrich. Scores are all level after 5 races.

Danny leads the way in heat 6 and Kasper rounds Paco on the first turn. He is hard on Kyle Newman's tail but nearly collects him on the second lap. Kyle and Zach Wajtknecht are neck to neck down the back straight in heat 7 but the Tigers skipper takes the initiative on the third turn and pulls clear. Zaine and Kasper trap ahead in heat 8 and never look like being troubled. Drew may have trouble walking but he gates in heat 9 and Ty sits on his tail for another 5-1. Danny and Kasper follow suit in heat 10 to make it three in a row and the Tigers now lead by 14 points.

Ulrich tries to halt the Brummies collapse and leads heat 11 until the second bend on last lap when hard chasing Kyle H slices through on the inside. Ty leads heat 12 and Zaine joins him by passing Zach on the back straight. It's looking good for another Tigers maximum heat win until Zaine pulls up with a puncture. Kyle H streaks into the lead in heat 13 but slows dramatically on the last lap trying to give Danny his full maximum but the ref sees it differently. The medics have withdrawn limping Drew and Zaine replaces him in heat 14. Ashley and James get the drop and even Zaine has no answer. Danny and Kyle H make no mistake and take another maximum in heat 15 for a twenty point winning margin.

The Brummies are struggling and are already rumoured to be looking to strengthen their team. Glasgow in the KO Cup next week will be a different kettle of fish! I don't imagine young Danyon will be without a team place for long after that heat 2 display.
